7.03.2018, Belgrade - Within the framework of his official visit to Serbia, Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze met with the Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabić.
The sides noted with satisfaction the increasing number of high-level visits between the two countries that create new opportunities for the further development of bilateral relations.
The sides reaffirmed support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Each other's countries. Highlighting the progress of Georgia and Serbia on the EU integration path, Mikheil Janelidze congratulated Ana Brnabić on the decision to integrate the Western Balkan states with the EU - process that is very important to Georgia.
The sides expressed their interest in sharing their experience in the area of European integration and the development of state institutions. Serbia, in particular, is interested in Georgia's successful experience in public administration, civil services and e-government. The Serbian Prime Minister welcomed the upcoming visit of the group of experts of the Georgian Justice Ministry to Serbia. The group will provide recommendations on launching single-window service centres in Serbia.
Special attention was paid to the need to expand co-operation in the areas of trade and economy. With this goal in mind, the Serbian business delegation will arrive in Georgia in 2018 and Tbilisi will host the first Georgian-Serbian business forum. Georgia also plans to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the first democratic republic of Georgia in Serbia.
At the end of the meeting, Mikheil Janelidze invited the Serbian Prime Minister to Georgia.
