President Margvelashvili Discusses Importance of Supporting Georgia's Sovereignty and Territorial Integrity with President of the National Assembly of Serbia
The President of Georgia, H.E. Giorgi Margvelashvili has held a meeting with the President of the National Assembly of Serbia, Ms. Maja Gojković, as part of her official visit to Georgia, Tbilisi.
The meeting highlighted the importance of Ms. Gojković's visit to Georgia. As noted, this visit will give impetus to further reinforcement of Serbia-Georgia activate cooperation in different sectors.
As stated, Serbia officially supports Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Importantly, this declared position should be correctly interpreted and shared by all the layers of society, public and religious organizations in order representatives of occupied territories not to attempt to hold the so-called official meetings in Serbia.
"We have once again highlighted that our political views and perspectives coincide. Once again, Maja Gojković has affirmed Serbia's unwavering support of Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity," Advisor to the President of Georgia for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Tengiz Pkhaladze said following the meeting.
The meeting has also been attended by Head of Administration of President Margvelashvili, Mr. Giorgi Abashishvili, Secretary of National Security Council of Georgia, Mr. Davit Rakviashvili, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Mr. Vakhtang Makharoblishvili, and Parliamentary Secretary of President Margvelashvili, Ms. Ana Natsvlishvili.
