Hellenic Parliament has Ratified the Agreement between Georgia and Greece on Mutual Recognition and Exchange of National Driving Licenses
The agreement between Georgia and Greece on mutual recognition and exchange of national driving licenses has been ratified.
on April 8, 2025, by the vast majority of Hellenic Parliament, the agreement between Georgia and Greece on mutual recognition and exchange of national driving licenses was ratified.
Greece is third country from EU member states to sign the similar agreement with Georgia. the ratification of the aforementioned agreement by the Hellenic Parliament is proof of the good cooperation and close friendship bewteen the two countries.
According to the agreement, Georgian citizens who live in Greece will have the opportunity to exchange their national licenses into the Greek license of the relative category, without any examination in Greek language, which will help them with the better integration with local society as well. The same benefits will exist for Greek citizens living in Georgia.
The agreement was signed on September 26, 2024, between the Ministry of Infrustructure and Transportation of Greece and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
