The Ambassador of Georgia to the Hellenic Republic, H.E. Levan Beridze visited the Petty Officers Academy of the Hellenic Navy
On May 13, the Ambassador of Georgia to the Hellenic Republic, H.E. Levan Beridze, together with the Embassy representatives, visited the Petty Officers Academy of the Hellenic Navy and had the honor to meet with the Director of the Academy, Mr. Christos Athanasios and the Commander of Naval Training, Rear Admiral Spyridon Tsiafoutis. During the visit, the Ambassador also met with Georgian Cadets, enrolled in the Academy.
The parties discussed ways of deepening cooperation in maritime sector between Georgia and Greece, as well, as the importance of bilateral relations in terms of strengthening ties between the two countries in the fields of defense and security. The Greek side expressed readiness to continue this cooperation and discuss ways to further increase participation of Georgian cadets in the academy in the future.
The meeting also focused on the importance of training Georgian cadets at the Petty Officers Academy of the Hellenic Navy. The Ambassador of Georgia met in person with all of them and wished Georgian cadets success in their current endeavors. Currently four Georgian trainees are enrolled at the Academy from the Border Police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, who demonstrate high academic performance and outstanding discipline here, in Greece.
