The Official Visit of Georgian Delegation of the Land Transport Agency (LEPL) of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia

The Director of the Land Transport Agency (LEPL) of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mr. Bakur Mikadze in the framework of his official visit in Athens, met with the General Director of Transportation of the Hellenic Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, Dr.. Ioannis Matsas and the representatives of the Ministry.

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Greece in the state transportation field as well as deepening collaboration and sharing best practices in transit access and logistics sectors. During the meeting, the high demand of increasing the number of legal transit permits from both sides was emphasized. 

Additionally, parties agreed to hold a joint committee meeting in Georgia in early 2026. 

The Ambassador of Georgia to the Hellenic Republic, H.E. Levan Beridze as well as the Deputy Head of the Mission, Mr. David Jalagania and the Head of the Road Transport Department of LEPL, Mr. Giorgi Zurikashvili also participated in the meeting.
